Class 1 — Shared Speedboat: The Day-Trip Option
The fastest and cheapest way to see Komodo is a shared speedboat day trip from Labuan Bajo, from USD 90 per person. You fly Bali–Labuan Bajo in the morning or the night before, board around 5:30–6:00 AM, and cover Padar, Komodo, Pink Beach and Manta Point in a single long day.
Cabins: none — this is a seated day boat with a shaded cabin, open deck, snorkeling gear and lunch included. Who it suits: travelers on a tight schedule, families with young children who prefer sleeping in a hotel, and anyone who gets uneasy about overnighting at sea. Class 2 — Budget Phinisi: Malca (from USD 215 for 3D2N)
Malca is our entry-level liveaboard and consistently our best-selling boat. A shared 3D2N open-trip cabin starts from USD 215 per person (around IDR 3.55 million), which is remarkable value for two nights sleeping inside the national park.
Cabins: compact air-conditioned private cabins and shared cabin configurations, shared bathrooms, a large social deck where meals are served. Who it suits: backpackers, couples on a honeymoon budget, solo travelers who enjoy meeting other guests, and anyone who wants the full sunrise-trek-at-Padar liveaboard experience without a luxury price tag. The trade-off is space: cabins are snug and the boat sails as an open trip with a mixed group. Class 3 — VIP Phinisi: Ayvara (Superior and Master Cabins)
Ayvara is the step up that most couples end up choosing. It runs the same 3D2N route as Malca but with noticeably better cabins, food and crew attention.
Cabins: Superior cabins from around USD 375–420 per person (IDR 6–6.75 million) with private en-suite bathrooms, proper beds and sea-view windows, and a Master cabin from around USD 530 per person (IDR 8.5 million) — larger, quieter, usually on the upper deck with the best views. Who it suits: couples and small groups who want privacy and comfort at night but are happy to share the boat’s social spaces with a curated group of other guests. Class 4 — Premium Phinisi: Naturalia (from IDR 12.5 Million)
Naturalia sits at the top of our shared-trip range. Cabins start from around USD 780 per person (IDR 12.5 million) for the 3D2N program, and everything scales up accordingly: cabin size, bathroom quality, chef-prepared meals, and a lower guest count that makes the whole trip feel semi-private.
Cabins: boutique-hotel-standard suites with en-suite bathrooms, quality linens and generous windows or portholes; some layouts include a panoramic master suite. Who it suits: honeymooners who want a special trip without chartering a whole boat, photographers who value quieter decks, and travelers celebrating an anniversary or milestone. Class 5 — Private Charter: Riley (USD 3,950–4,150 per Trip)

Cabins: multiple air-conditioned en-suite cabins accommodating families and friend groups comfortably. Who it suits: families with children (you set the pace — nap times, early dinners, no strangers), groups of four to eight friends splitting the cost (often cheaper per person than two Naturalia cabins), and travelers who want to customize the route — extra time at Manta Point, a sunset stop the open trips skip, or a slower morning. Private charter is also the best option for guests with dietary requirements, since the chef cooks only for you.
Class 6 — Luxury Charter: Catnazse (USD 6,250–9,000)
